Dr. Fernandez earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of California Davis and obtained his doctorate in Medicine at the Autonomous University in Guadalajara Mexico. He then completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Nassau University Medical Center. He was also elected for a leadership role as chief resident managing the training program, lecturing, and mentoring residents and medical students for an additional year after residency.
Dr. Fernandez has also practiced as a Hospitalist in various hospitals in Northern California prior to joining fellowship training. He has gained valuable experience during that year and feels comfortable treating patients with multiple health issues. He believes in a whole care approach to patients and their unique healthcare needs and expectations.
Dr. Fernandez practices general gastroenterology in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive disorders and the performance of endoscopic procedures.
